SCEM Purpose
Our office is here to assist in disaster management. We offer tools resources and services to help people affected by disaster.
CERT
Community Emergency Response Teams enable residents to prepare for a react to emergencies. This allows agencies like the EMS and Fire Department to respond to more serious situations in disasters, while community members are able to care for each other in more manageable situations.
Outdoor Warning System
There are sirens throughout the county that serve to warn people of imminent danger.
Education
SCEM provides preparedness information to all entities & residents regarding all hazards that could impact Shawnee County.
