Community Flu Clinics
The Shawnee County Health Agency (SCHA) will be offering flu shots at different locations throughout the community. The shots are $25 each, and can be received at the following dates, locations, and times:
- Thursday, December 11 • Shawnee North Community Center · 300 NE 43rd • 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Monday, December 15 • Topeka/Shawnee County Public Library · 1515 S.W. 10th Ave. • 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Thursday, December 18 • Paris Community Center · 6715 S.W. Westview Rd. • 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
All flu shots will be $25 each. Individuals receiving these shots should remember to bring their insurance cards. Cash, checks, Visa, and MasterCard will be accepted forms of payment.
Health Agency Flu Clinics
The Shawnee County Health Agency’s Immunization Department is also currently offering flu shots to the public. Individuals wishing to receive flu shots can come to SCHA’s Immunization Department, located at 1615 SW 8th Ave., during regular Immunization hours.
All flu shots will be $25 each. Individuals receiving these shots should remember to bring their insurance cards. Cash, checks, Visa, and MasterCard will be accepted forms of payment.

The annual flu season begins in October and can continue until May.
Every year, between 5 percent and 20 percent of the U.S. population gets the flu. That means at least 15 million Americans (and as many as 60 million) get sick from the flu every year, with more than 200,000 hospitalizations and 36,000 deaths annually.
