The mission of Shawnee County Parks and Recreation is to provide quality parks, golf courses and recreation facilities and opportunities to meet the recreational needs and interests of rural and urban residents throughout Shawnee County.

Bridge Closed Near Shawnee North Community Center

The bridge at NE Kimball & 43rd, NE 43rd—¾ miles East of Topeka Boulevard—was closed on March 25, 2008. The bridge should reopen not later than November.

Please use N Kansas Avenue or NW Topeka Boulevard for access to Shawnee North soccer fields, community center, softball diamonds and aquatic facility. Additionally, please allow for extra travel time.
