Some Words from Our Team
-
“When someone calls to say ‘thank you’ for staying on the phone, for being a voice of comfort. We don’t hear that very often, we aren’t seen only heard and the voice disappears when the officers arrive. It’s nice when someone takes the time to just say, “I appreciate what you do, Thank you”. It works as a small reminder of why I am here, why I do what I do and why I have stayed for over 25 years.”

“What brings me back everyday is the love of what I do. I love no day is ever the same as the next. I love each day is filled with new experiences, people, & challenges. I love working closely with a group that’s become a family no matter what side of the radio you’re on. Being the voice on the other end of the line for an emergency is something you never get used to, but one you embrace.”

“The family of dispatchers, officers, deputies and firefighters that I’ve been adopted into since I was a child keeps me motivated to keep coming back everyday. Some days are mentally and emotionally exhausting. Especially when we get hit with high priority incidents, scary situations and tragedies along with the occasional verbally abusive callers… but my team of dispatchers does an amazing job of pulling together and supporting each other through good days and bad.”

“This is a career that has truly made me feel like I help those in the community. I’m able to be a lifeline and help those that may not know where to turn or who to ask for help. It’s been the greatest career that I never even knew existed.”
